The Venerable Druppoen Lama Karma Dorji La
The Venerable Drupon Lama Karma Dorji is the second son born to Phagchok Rinpoche and Khandro Tsering Choden in 1963, the year of the Female Fire Snake of 17th Rabjung.
At an early age, he learned basic Buddhist literature and detailed Terser Ngoendro from Yab Rinpoche. Later on, he went to Assam Rangapara under His Holiness Lhodrak Terton Kuenzang Dechen Lingpa Rinpoche. There he started with: Nyingthik Ngoendro preliminaries; practice on the words of my perfect teacher; Meditation on Lama Yidam and Khandro; and teachings on the precious Choeying Rinpoche Zoed. Also, he practiced intensively on Nyingthik Dzogchen Rigpai Tselwang, Choeying Rinpoche Dzoed and Dzongchen teachings.
Thereafter, according to the words of his thankful teacher, he went for a three year retreat at Massang Tsholingpang, Rupa, Arunachal Pradesh. For a few years after the retreat, he served there as an administrator where his service was recognized by Rinpoche. Later, coming back home, he was given the responsibility of teaching the 4th group of meditators of Phagchok Drupdey Sangag Choe-Ling by his father. By doing so, he once again went through all the vital practices of H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche like Terchoe-Phurpai Noendro, Tsa-Thig-Lung Sum, Dzogchen Nang-jang, etc.
In the year 2000, he received complete blessings and initiation from H.H. Terton Rinpoche on the rituals and practices discovered by him. Among these practices, he picked the practice of Droloe and went on retreat for a few months to meditate on it. Later, when he was appointed as the teacher of the 6th group of meditators, he spent five years of his life meditating on Phurpa while he taught the new practitioners basic skills of meditation practices.
In the year 2007, the water male dog year according to the Buddhist calendar, he received initiations and empowerment on Rinchen Terzoe from H.H. Namkhai-Nyingpo Rinpoche. Even now, Druppon Lama Karma Dorji is serving his best to spread the Buddha dharma and specifically the teachings of H.H. Dudjom Jigdrel Yeshi Dorji and H.H. Treton Kuenzang Dechen Lingpa whereby serving innumerable beings in fulfilling their temporary and ultimate wishes of happiness and liberation in his own Country and in Aruachal.
